Levelling back to normal

Slowly, things are returning to the usual path. With electricity and gas back working, the only things in our household that still bear witness to the inundation are several boxes and flower pots that sit on our balcony awaiting the cellar to be cleaned and my bicycle on the landing in the staircase, waiting for the same. And, of course, we still have no cable TV reception.
I ran several loads of laundry yesterday. The things that had been contaminated by contact with the muck I have been washing with desinfectant. The salvaged china did, after some reshuffling, find a new home in one of the cupboards.
The empty freezer will be filled up again on the weekend (didn't have time to do the grocery run yet).

And just one day of being able to eat normally again made two pounds of carbohydrate bloat drop off me again.

Business as usual. What a concept.

They say it's a blessing to live in uninteresting times.
How true.
